Dudbrook, 1853

The 'Dudbrook' was said to have carried 103 passengers and 228 male convicts, including one Parkhurst boy from the Isle of Wight. Her sole Parkhurst boy was said to have been discharged from Parkhurst on November 5, 1852.

The ship finally set sail from Plymouth on November 22 and arrived in Fremantle, Western Australia on February 2, 1853.

The sole 'apprentice' who was transported on the 'Dudbrook' is listed below.

Most of the Parkhusrt boys were listed in Paul Buddee's book, 'Fate of the Artful Dodger' and in Andrew Gill's later work, 'Forced Labour for the West'.
