My husband Des and I are doing what is almost a one-name study of my COUCILL ancestry. The variants include such names as COWCILL, COWSELL & COWSILL. We have extracted all the BDM entries from St Caths microfiche from 1837-1992 as well as the GRO War Deaths for both World Wars. My line commences with a Thomas Cowsill b. c1690. We are also in contact with a COWCILL family whose members were mainly located in the Bolton LAN area. We would be interested to see what you have on COWCILL and may be able to help you with look-ups if you give us the names, dates etc.
My FORBES & HUXLEY ancestors were recorded in book, "Transported to Paradise" which was published in 1991 by author, Douglas R. Huxley.
