My maternal ancestors have been traced back to Ayr in Scotland and, from some of them, earlier, to Ireland.
On the paternal side, ancestors have been traced to Devon , thence to Tasmania as a guest of HM Govt in 1833. All other paternal relatives appear to have been born in Tasmania.
